B.T. Smith author of Memoir of a Peacetime Soldier is a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in various artillery units as a Fire Direction Specialist. Assignments included the 194th Armored Brigade Fort Knox KY, 2nd Infantry Division Camp Stanley Korea, 1st Cavalry Division Fort Hood TX and 8th Infantry Division Baumholder/Strassburg Kaserne Germany. During his time in service he grew into a respected leader from an undisciplined youth. He is now retired and living in his home town, Harrisburg, PA with his loving wife Jean.
